This old Mill house is located on Rough River. It was the location that my clients got engaged. The mother of the groom and her son decided to fingerpaint this image at the Rehearsal dinner- as a surprise for the bride-to-be!
Because of all the architectural detal, there were more finishing touches on this particular piece.
The first image is a shot I captured after the bride and groom painted their colors.
The second image is after the last guest painted that night, but before my special fingerpainting method that helps to define sharp edges, like the bridge and rooflines. (Also, please note, that the lighting made a difference in the coloring between the second and third image. I did not paint brighter colors over the original.)
Lastly, the final image- after I added details to enhance the architecture and waterfall.
I think this is a fantastic piece that captured both a sentimental moment, and a piece of history. Just a few days after the wedding, a storm blew through and destroyed most of the old mill.
